Under the hood of the Dodge SRT Viper is installed 8.4-liter gasoline V10, 640 hp of power and 814 Nm of torque. Structurally, this is the same unit as in the fourth generation, but upgraded in order to reduce weight and reduce friction force. The engine is paired only with a six-speed manual transmission.

The Dodge SRT Viper is a rear-wheel drive coupe of the “G2” class. The world premiere of the fifth generation of the model took place at the New York Auto Show in April 2012.
