Engines

Golf V is offered with a line of modern engines for every taste: from 1.4 liter gasoline up to a draught diesel 2.0 TDI. The majority of the engines on offer use the most advanced technology: FSI for the petrol and TDI for the diesel. In the future, Volkswagen will also offer new advanced sports powertrains, in particular for “charged” versions of the Golf. It is noteworthy that all engines meet Euro-4 environmental requirements.

Gearboxes

A wide range of transmissions is offered for the new Golf:

5-speed manual
6-speed manual
6-speed DSG.
The latest DSG technology (Direct Shift Gearbox) is the most interesting today. It combines the dynamics and convenience of an automatic transmission with the economy of a manual.
