Design

Despite the fact that the new model resembles the Golf externally, the stylistic details of the Golf Plus open up new perspectives for it. First of all we are talking about the size of the car. The Golf Plus surpasses the Golf by 95 mm in height (Golf Plus height is 1.58 meters), but is lower than the Touran minivan by 5.4 cm. The other dimensions are the same as in the Golf: length – 4.21 meters, width – 1.76 meters, wheelbase – 2.58 meters. The Golf family membership is easy to guess by the radiator grille, front wings, hood, A-pillars and a big roof hatch. However, Golf Plus can not be considered as Golf double. The design of the compact van is rather a logical continuation of the Golf design-project. Hence the modified construction of the front door, the hood, the bumpers, the new headlights and taillights… even the profile of the car has changed.
