As before, you can get the model in both the two-door Extended Cab (5,495 mm overall length, 1,880 mm loading area length) and the simple four-door Crew Cab (5,395 mm and 1,567 mm) and the extended four-door Crew Cab (5,705 mm and 1,880 mm). The more expensive AT4 and Denali are available only in four-door versions. The width of the loading area between the arches is 1128 mm, while the total width of the platform is 1428 mm. Depending on the version Canyon could carry up to 838-941 kg and pull a trailer up to almost 3500 kg.

In terms of power plants no changes have been made. Base engine is a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V6 with output of 308 horsepower and 373 Nm of torque. Mono versions can be equipped with 2.5-liter turbo four with 200 horsepower and 260 Nm. As an alternative to gasoline engine is a 2.8-liter turbocharged diesel Duramax with 181 horsepower and 470 Nm of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission works with the most powerful engine, and a six-speed automatic transmission works with in-line engines.
