All without exception “American” CX-5 is now equipped with all-wheel drive i-Activ AWD. For other markets still retained mono-drive.

But under the hood of the Mazda CX-5 is unchanged – these are 2.0 (150-165 hp) and 2.5 (190-194 hp) naturally aspirated engines, 2.5 (230 hp) gasoline turbo engine, as well as 2.2 turbo diesel engines with a capacity of 150 or 184 hp.

The gearbox is a 6-speed “mechanics” or an improved 6-speed “automatic” which should shift more actively but smoothly.

The engine lineup of Mazda CX-5 second generation consists of petrol units of 2.0 liter outputting 160 or 165 hp, 2.5 liter engine with 194 hp (258 Nm) and diesel units with a working volume of 2.2 liter outputting 150 hp (380Nm) or 175 hp (420Nm). They are accompanied by six-speed manual and automatic transmissions.
