Mazda MX-30 (Mazda MX-30) – front-wheel drive electric crossover of “K1” class. The first generation of the model. The premiere demonstration of the crossover took place at the Tokyo Motor Show on October 23, 2019.

Mazda decided to make the first electric car in a crossover format with two rear doors (the “free style” doors open 80 degrees against traffic, you can open them only by first opening the front doors). Also features of the design is a descending roof (which can be ordered and in a contrasting color) and quite massive inserts (passing in the bumpers) of unpainted plastic (they give the car monumentality, despite its compactness). As in other Mazda, the design concept of Kodo is expressed in a minimum of superfluous facets of the body.

The crossover is based on e-Skyactiv platform, which has integrated a traction lithium-ion battery into the power structure of the body. There are MacPherson struts in the front and a semi-independent suspension in the rear. Despite the absence of the middle body strut, high rigidity of the body is declared. Due to the location of the battery, the manufacturer assures that the truck is almost perfectly balanced (50:50). With a wheelbase of 2655 mm, the length of the electric car is 4395 mm and height is 1540 mm.
