2022 GMC Sierra Owner's Manual
From a technical point of view, the Sierra Double Cab has not received any innovations in the process of restyling. It is, as before, built on a platform with independent front suspension and asymmetric leaf springs behind, and is still able to overcome even serious off-road, carry a large amount of cargo, but remain a comfortable and safe car. It is enough to look at the list of standard and optional equipment to understand how GMC improved the pickup with responsibility.
Under the hood of the GMC Sierra Extended Cab can be installed one of the gasoline engines EcoTec3 family – 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8, or 6.2-liter V8, producing 285, 355 and 402 hp (413, 519 and 1037 Nm of torque). The engines are paired with a six-speed or eight-speed automatic transmission. At the same time the most powerful version of the pickup, Denali, has a 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 with 397 “horsepower” and 765 Nm of torque. With such a “heart” the pickup weighing more than three tons accelerates from a place to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds.
