The Sierra Crew Cab is built on the same platform as its restyled version, with independent front suspension and asymmetric leaf springs in the rear. The manufacturer did not report about any improvements or modernization of the running gear. Apparently, the Americans offered nothing new.
GMC Sierra Crew Cab is powered by one of the gasoline engines of EcoTec3 family – 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8, or 6.2-liter V8, producing 285, 355, and 402 hp (413, 519, and 1,037 Nm of torque). The engines are paired with a six-speed or eight-speed automatic transmission.
At the same time the most powerful version of the pickup, Denali, has a 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 with 397 “horsepower” and 765 Nm of torque. With such a “heart” the pickup weighing more than three tons accelerates from a place to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds.
