Toyota Yaris is a front-wheel drive small class hatchback known in Japan as the Vitz. The third generation of the model premiered at the Detroit auto show in January 2011.

Toyota does not agree with the fact that the Yaris is a car for women, so they have given the third generation more aggressive features, in order to attract the attention of young men. They had to change radiator grille, make headlights slanted forms, work on silhouette in general, increase wheelbase by 50 mm (to 2510 mm), and make the car 100 mm longer (3885 mm) and 20 mm lower (1510 mm).

All these transformations allowed to reduce Yaris aerodynamic drag coefficient to 0,285 and luggage compartment became deeper by 145 mm, while the car lost 30 extra pounds and weighs exactly a ton. In addition, the interior of the Yaris uses higher-quality trim materials than the second generation, and there is an infotainment system with an active display, a navigator and access to the Internet.
