Many power units are available for the car. The main engines for the European model are 1.6-liter gasoline engine T-GDI (150 or 180 hp), 1.6-liter diesel engine CRDI (115 or 136 hp), and hybrids, which are based on the same 1.6-liter 180 hp engine. The plug-in hybrid PHEV produces a total of 265 hp with a 13.8-kilowatt battery. The regular HEV hybrid has 230 hp and has a small 1.49-kilowatt battery.

The options list of this Kia has not only all-wheel drive system (rear axle clutch), but also adaptive shock absorbers. As for active electronic assistants (in the terminology of the brand – DriveWise), then for the European Kia Sportage available collision avoidance system, including during turns, based on the data navigation adaptive cruise control, Lane Keeping System, active blind spot monitoring and other assistants.
