The Toyota Hilux Extra Cab is a K4 pickup truck with all-wheel drive or mono-wheel drive. It is a facelifted version of the seventh generation model.

The Hilux Extra Cab differs from its predecessor by the radiator grille, which received three horizontal bars instead of one, headlights, hood, mirrors, bumper, and design of 15- and 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the main changes touched the steering wheel, center console and dashboard. An upgraded multimedia system with a 6-inch display and the ability to connect an iPod added functionality.

The technical Toyota Hailux part remained almost untouched, but the engineers upgraded significantly influenced the overall performance of the pickup. Thus, both mono and all-wheel drive versions of Hyllux are based on 4×4 chassis. This made it possible to keep ground clearance at 292 mm regardless of the configuration. In addition, the weight of towed cargo was increased up to 2.5 tons, and the weight of transported cargo in the body exceeded the mark of 800 kg.
