2021 Toyota Avalon Owner's Manual

The car is built on Toyota K platform (and shares it with Lexus ES), it is a platform for front-wheel drive cars with an option to add all-wheel drive. But such option is not provided for Avalon. As regards the power unit, the only 3,5-liter V6 is accessible to all complete set, giving 264 hp and 336 Nm of torque, and it is paired with non-alternative 6-inch “automatic device” (it is possible to switch in a manual mode in more expensive complete sets with the help of paddle paddles). The driver can choose between three modes Eso, Normal, Sport, in which both responses to the gas pedal and settings of the steering mechanism are changed. In addition, two types of suspension are available: in the more expensive Touring and Limited versions it is configured for the “driver’s” type of driving.
“Invisible” addition which has appeared on facelifted model, is equipment of the car already in “base” with a package of systems of active safety Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P): This includes adaptive cruise control, a collision warning system with pedestrian detection, a line marking tracking system, and automatic high beam activation. In addition, all Avalons are equipped with 10 airbags.
