The new Dodge Dakota is equipped with 16-inch wheels, enhanced airbags, including side airbags, and specially designed head restraints to provide maximum protection in the event of a collision.

The 2005 Dodge Dakota is the only compact pick-up in the U.S. equipped with an 8-cylinder V-shaped engine. The power units boast power and excellent performance. The Dodge Dakota is equipped with a 3.7-liter Magnum V6 rated at 210 hp, a 4.7 Magnum V8 (230 hp) and a new 4.7-liter High Output Magnum V8 (250 hp). Both V8 engines offer fuel economy 3 and 4 percent better than previous versions of the Dodge Dakota V8 engines.
