The Dodge Journey is not to be confused with anything else. It looks like a modern Dodge: trim, rigorous, solid. It is mounted on 19-inch wheels and is ennobled inside in the spirit of traditional American cars.

The Dodge Journey is a robust and colorful vehicle that combines the characteristics of a minivan and an SUV. The model has a charismatic and recognizable appearance, excellent driving and technical characteristics, and a sonorous and bright name, which in translation means “journey”.

Its premiere took place in 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Sales of the car in Russia began in 2008. Restyled version of the model appeared in 2010 at the auto show in Los Angeles. The target audience of this model company Dodge calls young families.

Despite the impressive size, the basis of the Journey is the platform from the compact crossover Caliber. The car is distinguished by stylish, impressive appearance, wide wheel arches, large windows and athletic body. Due to the high ground clearance – 182 mm, the car easily overcomes the various bumps, ruts and other difficult areas of the road.

The Dodge Journey interior is spacious and roomy. The standard version of the car is five seats, but for an additional fee the number of seats can be increased to seven. The rows of seats are located at an angle: the second row is higher than the first, and the third is higher than the second. This construction provides excellent visibility for all passengers. The second row of seats does not have separate seats and is made as a monolithic sofa, which has the possibility of longitudinal adjustment.

The Journey’s trunk is quite roomy, but this is provided that the third row seats are folded. If they are unfolded, there is very little space left. If you need to transport large-sized cargo you can fold the second and third rows of seats. At that an even floor is formed. As it should be for family car, the interior of Dodge is full of different boxes, niches, cup-holders and so on.
